What Are M2 and M3 Categories?

M2 Category: Passenger vehicles with more than 8 seats
(excluding the driver) and a maximum mass not exceeding 5 tonnes
M3 Category: Passenger vehicles with more than 8 seats
(excluding the driver) and a maximum mass exceeding 5 tonnes
To be legally placed on the European
market, all such vehicles must obtain Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA).
