EN 1789

The procedures and principles regarding the establishment, operation, and supervision of ambulance services, as well as the flexibility testing of ambulance, emergency health vehicles, and patient transfer vehicles’ climate control systems, are utilized. The heating performance of the air conditioning system is observed when the ambient temperature is low, and the cooling performance of the air conditioning system is observed when the ambient temperature rises.

In the storage test referenced in TS EN 1789:2020 5.10, temperature values of the center thermocouples of the ambulance patient compartment stretcher are recorded. Following the test, visual, physical, and functional checks are conducted, and the vehicle heating system performance control is carried out in accordance with the Heating Test specified in the EN 1789:2020 Standard.

In the distribution test referenced in TS EN 1789:2020 5.11, temperature values of the thermocouples in the ambulance patient compartment are observed. After the central test, visual, physical, and functional checks are conducted, and it is observed whether there are any issues in the cooling system performance control according to the Cooling Test specified in the EN 1789:2020 Standard.
