EN 13766 Test provides test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of excavation machinery defined in ISO 6165 and building construction machinery defined in ISO/TR 12603.

EN 13766 Test deals with general EMC requirements under typical electromagnetic environmental conditions. It addresses electrical/electronic sub-assemblies (ESA) intended to be fitted to machinery, as well as separate ESAs.

The machine may have a built-in power supply system as DC or AC or a combination of both. EN 13766 Test cannot be applied to machines designed to be powered from an external mains supply or events caused by military applications.
