EN 10263
The purpose of the test is to observe and report the effects of heating and air conditioning within the operator enclosure under specific environmental conditions. It defines the test method used to measure the contribution of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system operating in a specific environment to the ambient temperature inside the operator enclosure. The climate environment inside the operator enclosure may not directly correspond to this method. By establishing minimum performance levels for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems of the machine’s operator cabin, the operator cabin is subjected to these tests.
EN 10263-4 Test
According to the ISO 10263-4 standard, it specifies the test method used to measure the contribution of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system operating in a specific environment to the ambient temperature in the operator compartment. This method may not accurately correspond to the climatic environment inside the operator compartment. For example, parts on and around the machine are also affected by heat load from solar energy. This section of ISO 10263 defines the minimum performance levels required for the machine’s operator compartment heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
EN 10263-5 Test
The performance of windshield defrosting systems is the focus of this section of the ISO 10263-5 standard, aimed at melting ice on the operator compartment and windshield with a vehicle. It is conducted using the necessary test equipment in laboratory facilities.
