EU Regulation 167/2013 pertains to the type approval, market surveillance, and control of agricultural and forestry vehicles. In accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, it is mandatory to obtain type approval for all new vehicles, systems, components, and separate technical units to ensure compliance with road structure and traffic safety requirements.

EU Regulation 167/2013 applies to T and C category tractors, R category trailers, and S category interchangeable towed equipment. R category trailers and S category interchangeable towed equipment, as well as C category tracked tractors, T4.1, and T4.2 category special purpose wheeled tractors, may apply for type approval from the manufacturer.
